Inside a rustic Montana home surrounded by breathtaking mountain views

rustic-house-exterior

This rustic mountain home was designed by Miller-Roodell Architects, located in Bridger Canyon, a desirable area just Northeast of Bozeman, Montana. Nestled into the foothills, this multi-generational dwelling straddles a ridge high above both the valley floor and its counterpart, the Guest Cabin: Rustic guest cabin surrounded by the breathtaking Bridger Mountains.

Created to capture the multitude of stunning views and natural daylighting, the large expanses of glazing blur the line between indoors and out. Clean structural steel and modern elements seamlessly integrate with traditional reclaimed materials and natural stone, allowing this home to be firmly rooted in its mountain environment.

What We Love: This rustic home is surrounded by magnificent views of the Montana mountains, captured throughout this home by walls of glazing. Created for multi-generational living, the architects did a fabulous job of creating an abundance of gathering spaces while also having intimate spaces for family members to have their privacy. We are loving the material palette of wood and stone for added warmth. Overall we find this home to be comfortable and inviting with just the right modern touches.

An open layout living, kitchen, and dining area features expansive walls of glass that capture the most stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The use of wood on the floors and ceiling along with stone accents helps to bring warmth to this space, despite all of the fenestration.

Awesome stuff. Would be hanging out in the living room with a view like that.

This behemoth is anachronistic to the location. Not fooled by the antler decor.
