The interiors of this traditional Cape Cod-inspired beach house is the work of Brown Design Group, located in the coastal town of Dana Point, California. Set in the idyllic gated community of “The Strand”, this home features absolutely breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Consisting of 6,000 square feet of living space, the two-story pad has an approachable luxury—the perfect balance of East-Coast style and laid-back California living.
On the interiors you will find five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, boasting radiant living spaces and sweeping ocean views. The interiors scheme is refined and welcoming, evoking an aesthetic of East Coast meets West Coast style. Warmth radiates throughout, thanks to dark wood flooring and white paneling and molding. The interior beachy palette effortlessly flows with the exterior architecture of gray shingles, white trim and paned windows.
The home’s views were maximized with the integration of glass accordion-style doors in the great room, blurring the boundaries between indoors and out. An expansive dining table was placed in this room to take advantage of the fresh ocean breezes. A highlight to this beach house is a rooftop deck, boasting 360 degree views of the Pacific Ocean. The finished result is a casual luxury adorned with exquisite materials and finishes and enveloped in natural light.
