Step inside a Colorado mountain getaway with phenomenal views

This striking modern mountain getaway was designed by BHH Partners in collaboration with Collective Design Group, set in the exclusive Peak Eight Place neighborhood of Breckenridge, Colorado. A dream vacation home for its owners who are avid skiers, this ski-in/ski-out property was idyllic, as it is right by the Breckenridge Ski Resort.

The greatest challenge presented to the project team was the limited size of the site, just under half an acre. The homeowners wanted their retreat to be large enough to host three generations under one roof, along with their friends. To create the floor plan layout the owner desired, their only option was to go up.

Inviting you in with floor-to-ceiling windows boasting panoramic mountain views, the entry reveals a refurbished Arapahoe Basin chairlift underneath the main staircase, a double chandelier, and a ski locker room. The soft-modern style exudes an inviting warmth with rustic, white oak flooring and solid walnut doors throughout.

This six-story home is ADA-compliant, featuring a glass-encased elevator to access each floor. The lower floor is designed with children in mind. The kid’s den features two spacious custom bunk rooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom, and a central playroom between the sleeping areas.

Continuing up the staircase, the different levels include an in-home gym, entertainment areas, and six large bedroom suites. Each bedroom suite is its own sanctuary with custom interior design elements and a private en-suite bathroom equipped with a dual vanity and walk-in shower.

Journeying further, the recreation room features a Belatrix quartzite high-top sitting bar for ten, a built-in custom wet bar, billiards, and foosball tables, and a large custom upholstered sectional.

The top level provides even more space for entertaining where the gourmet kitchen, breakfast nook, living, and dining area come together. Highlights include a fifteen-foot Infamous quartzite waterfall island, a Davinci fireplace to separate the living and dining area, and a spacious pantry filled with high-end appliances.

All finishes, furnishings, upholstery, bedding, and accessories were custom-designed and curated by Collective Design Group.

What We Love: This Colorado mountain getaway provides a three-generational family with a ski-in/ski-out home for outdoor adventures. Custom finishes throughout this home offer a luxurious feel while layers of texture add warmth and comfort.
