A family apartment decorated with current trends is infused with a Nordic style combined with personal details that continually change, located in the outskirts of Madrid, Spain. When the homeowners moved to this home two years ago, they sought out a place that was more spacious and where they could surround themselves with nature. This location was special to the family, as it had space for them to have a small garden and a nearby forest where they could take family walks. Upon entrance into this spacious apartment, an enclosed entryway leads you off in different directions. Straight ahead are French doors that sweep into an open plan living, dining and home office space illuminated by natural light through a wall of windows with views out onto an expansive terrace. A kitchen to the left side of the entryway features a wall of cabinetry on one side and a small breakfast nook on the other, with a door that leads out to the terrace. There are also three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, one of them is an en-suite in the master bedroom. One bedroom is shared by the homeowner’s two daughters and the other is a guest room for frequentely visiting friends and family.

The homeowners personally took charge of the decoration of their home, with Deco & Living home scattered throughout and Nordic style alternating with personal details. Their everyday living experience is surrounded by beautiful things, family treasures and special pieces filled with everyday memories. White walls serve as a backdrop to the stylish furnishings, decor and richly stained hardwood flooring. Continually changing up the mood of the home, the owners enjoy creating and re-creating their spaces. Always in harmony, spaces are organized to create personal living environments.

The home office space is situated in the living room facing the terrace to enjoy natural light and views of the garden. The area is comprised of a modular shelf, visually very light, which allows the items on the shelving to stand out and be more accessible.

In the master bedroom white walls convey a calmness. Serene colors are injected into this space to keep the environment feeling relaxed and livable.
