This spaciousย contemporary homeย consists of two connected pavilions designed byย Darren Campbell Architect, located inย a Wahroonga, a suburb on the upper north shore of Sydney, Australia. Theย front pavilion encompasses the main entryway and an open concept living room, dining and kitchen. The rear pavilion houses the private zones of the home, the bedrooms, comfortable lounge spaces and the laundry room. The design centers around a nice indoor-outdoor connection, with the main living room featuring a wall of glass that slides open to reveal a sizable outdoor terrace with outdoor dining, living areas and a sumptuous swimming pool. Hard wood flooring traverses throughout the main living areas, while soaring ceilings and mainly white walls makes the home feel spacious and airy.
A comfortable seating arrangement around a fireplace in the living room offers a patterned area rug delineating the space. A dramatic open staircase leads to the second level, which is open to below. Glass railings adds to the transparency, while clerestory windows above helps to filter in additional natural light.
The dining area offers a wall of glass that slides open to connect the space with the outdoor terrace and beautiful gardens.
The master bedroom offers its own cozy oasis, with walls of glass offering views outside. The glass slides open to bring in fresh air and create a nice connection with the outdoors.
