Yankee Barn Homes is responsible for designing this contemporary barn-style house on Martha’s Vineyard, a picturesque island paradise, just 7 miles off the coast of Massachusetts. Encompassing 3,098 square feet of living space, this coastal barn home called “Barnstable” offers five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. This fantastic home also includes vast expanses of glass to maximize views of the surrounding bucolic farmland.
The project team did a wonderful job of creating a floor plan layout that is ideal for family living and for guests to enjoy. Also on the property is a barn/garage that features a guest bedroom and bathroom on the upper level to accommodate overnight guests. This home is considered a partial post and beam build, as there are areas with the timber frame structure and areas where the builder’s trade-marked True Roof and Wall Panels complete the job.
What We Love: This stunning contemporary barn-style house offers a delightful exterior facade that opens into a luminous interior layout. The project team did a fantastic job creating warm and welcoming living spaces that invite natural light and views of the surrounding landscape. This Martha’s Vineyard farmhouse is everything a family could want in a home, including a guest house for overnight guests.
