This stunning lake house was designed as an entertainer’s dream home by Alexander Design Group in collaboration with Studio M Interiors, nestled on Lafayette Bay in Wayzata, Minnesota. Inside you will find an open and airy floor plan where every room was designed to frame breathtaking views of Lake Minnetonka.

Timeless details can be found throughout this home, from the custom millwork to the vaulted ceilings. A notable design feature of this residence, the architects opted to orient the front of the home towards the lake, presenting a fabulous “pier appeal”. You spend more time on this side of this side of the home, so this angle should be made as attractive as possible.

One of the biggest challenges the architects were tasked with, was the inclusion of a four-car garage. The key was that it could not be a focal point when one is looking towards the home from the lake or main road.

The vision was to design a home with a European flair, maintaining a clean and sophisticated aesthetic. Unique features include a bunk room with a spacious play area for children, an outdoor pool, multiple porches, and a lower-level wine room with an in-home gallery for the homeowner’s extensive art collection.
