k+co LIVING – Interiors by Karen B Wolf has designed this gorgeous waterfront house on Long Beach Island, California. The homeowner wanted not to bring the outside in, but instead to bring the inhabitants out. This home has three decks so the family can enjoy their affinity for the outdoors.
Oceanic feels extended into the design of this beach home. The designer matched the interior to the home’s beautiful coastal views with nautical touches and shades of blue and white. Continue below to see the rest of this fabulous home tour…
Above: A pen-shell chandelier from Glow Lighting was custom-fabricated, illuminating the dining table.
Above: In the kitchen, the countertops are a pale blue quartzite, while the island is painted in Windy Blue SW 6240 – Sherwin Williams.
Above: The custom hood was created to extend up to the 12-foot high ceiling. The color was selected to match the gorgeous Lacanche range.
What We Love: This waterfront house is ideally situated on Long Island Beach, created to maximize views of the ocean. Spread out over three levels, the designer cleverly positioned the main living spaces on the upper level. An expansive deck on this level provides wonderful entertaining areas to enjoy time with family and friends in the great outdoors. We love the relaxed living vibe of this home and the soothing beach chic color palette.

Above: This home boasts three decks. This includes a private deck just off the bedrooms on the ground floor, a rooftop deck to soak in unforgettable sunsets over the bay, and a main deck just off the second-level great room for entertaining. This space offers chaise lounges, a daybed swing, a fire pit surrounded by relaxing chairs, and alfresco dining that can comfortably seat up to 14. A pergola provides shade while a countertop connects to the kitchen via transom-style windows.
Above: This seaside home was designed to give a luxury resort experience. The family loves to host, so the designer created an outdoor escape with multiple living areas to soak up the ocean view and bask in the ultimate relaxation.
Above: Cozy and collected. A layered look brings warmth and a relaxing feel to this home’s gathering space that overlooks serene ocean views.
Above: In the owner’s bedroom, the fireplace surround is a custom mother of pearl, inspired by the ocean. The exquisite light fixture was sourced from Made Goods.
Above: The color palettes and textures are inspired by the surroundings of this beach house — the sand, the ocean, and the sky. The most striking use of blue is in the owner’s bathroom. This space derives its own drama from the use of a custom deep-blue ombre tile sourced from Artistic Tile and white Thassos marble flooring providing a striking contrast.
Above: Vacation at the beach is all the more fun when there’s space for everyone. It was a non-negotiable for this space to sleep 12, so the designer collaborated with contractors to reframe the entire dwelling to accommodate the needs of the homeowners. The result is a spacious and elegant bunk bedroom.
