Kate Jackson Design is responsible for renovating this shingle-style home makeover for family living, situated in the coastal community of Quonnie, Rhode Island. The designer relishes the opportunity to collaborate with homeowners to create warm and inviting seaside homes. She likes to create favorite familial places for them to retreat, gather, and live well every day from “scratch.”

This project personifies the vibrancy and personalities of its super-cool homeowners. New seating throughout allows for cozying up with cashmere throws and washable linen fabrics. Bookshelves, tabletops, and once-empty walls now offer a one-of-a-kind playfulness and a glimpse into the personalities of its owners. This “whole home makeover” was completed in record time to kick-start the owner’s summer season.

What We Love: All of the varying shades of blue layered throughout this coastal home on the neutral backdrop are visually stunning. Living spaces are welcoming and comfortable with a mix and match of fabrics and patterns, artwork, and beautifully styled vignettes. We love the gorgeous blue and white kitchen, dreamy turquoise bathroom, and the coastal-chic entryway. Everything is detail-oriented and perfectly balanced. Overall, the designer did a fabulous job of renovating this family beach house.
