A blissful modern farmhouse in an idyllic setting of Westchester County

modern-day-traditional-farmhouse-exterior

This welcoming modern farmhouse-inspired home was designed by Alisberg Parker Architects together with Cortney Bishop Design, nestled in the town of Greenburgh, Westchester County, New York. The goal for this young family was to create a serene and inviting interior for their contemporary take on a traditional farmhouse.

From the outside, the house exudes the charm of an early 1900s New England farmhouse, complete with a classic covered porch, metal standing seam roof, rafter tails, and a barn-style garage. However, step inside, and you’ll discover a modern and refreshing interpretation of the farmhouse style. Continue below to explore the rest of this beautiful home tour…

What We Love: This welcoming modern farmhouse-style home in Westchester County offers its inhabitants a breezy atmosphere thanks to an open and spacious floor plan and soaring ceilings. The warmth of the wood flooring creates a cozy feel, while the use of area rugs helps to define living spaces and add layers of texture. Overall, we find the design of this home to be very habitable, we especially love the backyard swing, a fantastic spot to relax and unwind!
