SALA Architects was commissioned to completely reimagine this delightful Tudor home that is situated in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The goal of this project was to breathe new life into the dwelling, while enhancing its curb appeal. Inside, the living spaces underwent a complete redesign to better fit the lifestyle needs of a young family. The architects proposed a range of imaginative ideas, and through collaborative efforts with the homeowners, they refined the design details.
As part of this extensive home renovation, the architects restructured the kitchen and replaced an awkward den with a new light-filled staircase that invites you down to a newly updated lower level. On the upper level, the bedrooms and bathrooms were reimagined, and a laundry room was incorporated. Additionally, circulation was improved around the circular staircase, enhancing the overall flow and providing a touch of whimsy. Continue below to see the rest of this exciting home tour…
The fulfillment of the design was successful because of the collaborative team effort between owner, architect, interior designer, and builder. A close working relationship like this results in the best possible design solutions.
