Tour this warm and welcoming modern country home in Westchester County

S. B. Long Interiors has reimagined this modern country home boasting warm and welcoming interiors, nestled in Rye, a coastal city in Westchester County, New York. A beautiful blend of colors, patterns, and textures was used to infuse depth and visual interest into each room, complemented by a blend of contemporary paintings and fine art photography.

The home features playful and modern light fixtures that perfectly harmonize with the distinctive color palettes. Exquisite ceiling and floor details include crocodile porcelain tiles in the Sunroom, metallic croc ceilings in the Butler’s Pantry, chevron-patterned floors and ceilings in Her Office and Bath, and a boldly striped floor in the Mudroom. Each space within this dynamic family home exudes its own unique personality.

What We Love: This modern country home was designed to be sophisticated yet inviting, featuring a soothing color palette loaded with warmth. Despite this home’s modern aesthetic, the designer did a fabulous job of softening the living spaces with a layering of textures and welcoming details throughout. We are especially loving the gray and white kitchen, modern and elegant and perfect for cooking and entertaining in style!

Does anyone know what kind of flooring was used in the family room to create that reptilian look? It’s distinctive…and really beautiful.
