Nestled along the shores of Lake Tahoe, California, this contemporary mountain house underwent an extensive renovation by IMI Design Studio, an interior design studio based in Scottsdale. This opulently crafted residence seamlessly integrates locally sourced materials, embracing the essence of the region. Every room in the home boasts custom-designed furniture pieces that perfectly complement the spaces.

The stunning sectional was scaled to fit the living room. It was custom designed and fabricated to fit the overall design aesthetic. Owner and designer of IMI Design Studio, Anita Lang has her own luxury furniture line, Design 528. Her modern furnishings are available to designers and showrooms.

We love how the designer draws inspiration from the surrounding nature and creates an aesthetic that is harmonious throughout this dwelling. Above: This powder bathroom features tiles designed in a horizontal pattern, which helps to draw your eyes across the space, creating a feeling of spaciousness. Above: This glamorous girl’s bedroom features a luxurious day bed that was custom-designed and fabricated to fit the space. The window treatments, bedding, and pillows were also custom-fabricated. This helped to create the vision the designers were trying to create.

The window treatments are worked through an automatic Lutron system. The fabric opens in the direction of the day bed, adding to the aesthetic of the space.

Above: This sumptuous outdoor living area was designed to maximize the views. The majority of the furnishings were selected from showrooms in the Scottsdale area that are trade-only. The manufacturer of these furnishings is Kettal—Luxury Outdoor Furniture, which can be purchased through a designer.

Above: The firepit was custom designed by IMI Design to correlate with the dining table on the other side of the glass. The outdoor living space offers warmth and comfort as well as serving a function to the homeowners. They can also enjoy sweeping views of Lake Tahoe from this relaxing space.
