Charles Cunniffe Architects in collaboration with Denman Construction have created this modern lakefront home that is nestled along Whitefish Lake, Montana. This lakeside property features over 150 feet of beach frontage, presenting unique opportunities and challenges, namely a stand of mature trees and a natural spring on the building site.
Instead of fighting with the notion of the mature stand of trees blocking the view, they were instead preserved. The project team gracefully yet meticulously designed the home to utilize the trees for privacy screening from the lake. They designed the rooms and windows around them to take full advantage of the views and afford the owners their desired privacy.
