Factor Design Build has renovated this ranch-style home with a Belgian farmhouse style to meet the lifestyle needs of its owners, sited on a lovely property in Boulder, Colorado. The home also needed to be spacious enough to host large gatherings with family and friends.
A striking minimalist facade in the form of an H-shaped plan is enhanced by a dramatic yet simple roof structure that is softened through elements of bleached cedar. The hub of this home is the great room, a bright and airy space courtesy of its sweeping palette and natural light pouring in through the new windows that are energy-efficient while adding lots of character.
What We Love: The project team did a fabulous job of infusing this home with a Belgian farmhouse style while providing the homeowners with ample space to meet their lifestyle needs. There are so many wonderful details in this home, from the pine planks underneath the front porch roof to the sliding barn door shutters and cozy window seat in the main bedroom. Overall, a thoughtfully designed home loaded with inviting warmth.
