A glorious historic farmhouse preservation in the New York countryside

farmhouse-exterior

This stunning historic farmhouse has undergone an extensive renovation and addition by Crisp Architects, located in Stanfordville, New York. The owners of this house needed more space and wished to preserve the historic character of their home. The addition included a large open kitchen, owner’s bedroom, mudroom, living room, and children’s room.

The architects were able to successfully blend the new structure with the existing seamlessly using details such as a large porch out front, making this country modern home fit beautifully into its’ surrounding countryside setting.

What We Love: This historic farmhouse in rural New York offers its inhabitants a beautifully renovated home with meticulous details. Surrounded by a tranquil setting, the interiors of this home match the exterior โ€” serene and inviting. We are especially loving the kitchen with its blue and white palette that is soothing and elegantly designed for both family and friends. Overall, the project team did a superior job of reimagining this home to feel warm and welcoming.
