Surround Architecture is responsible for the design of this spectacular contemporary house located in Cherry Hills Village, a suburb south of Denver, Colorado. This newly built, single-story home features harmonious connections to the landscape, along with unique pockets—both on the interior and exterior of the dwelling—where the kids could study and play in view of their parents.
The entryway of this home is clad with buff Texas limestone. The vertical cedar siding is charred and wire-brushed for texture, which helps to define the dwelling’s taller, gabled forms. Continue below to see the rest of this amazing home tour…

Above: The home’s entryway welcomes you in with the exquisite buff Texas limestone walls and gray stone floor. A beautiful bronze sculpture and painting nod to this dwelling’s pastoral surroundings. Several of the properties in this neighborhood are divided by horse pastures and have kept their semi-rural nature over time, despite that the community has evolved.
What We Love: This beautiful family home has a timeless aesthetic, designed to feel like it has been on its site for a while. The architecture, material palette, and the surrounding landscape work in harmony to fit into the context of the neighborhood yet is also one-of-a-kind to the family that resides in it. We are loving the overall look and feel of this home, how it connects with nature and feels warm and inviting.
