This Northern California mountain home was designed by SANDBOX Studio in collaboration with Mark Tanner Construction, located in the Martis Camp community of Truckee. A custom entry of exposed steel beams, wood, metal, and stone draws you inside this warm and welcoming home. Modern elements can be found throughout while still maintaining a family-friendly environment.
The home was constructed with a beautiful blend of materials. On the exterior facade, the aesthetic is very contemporary, featuring shed roofs and stained woods while the interior has an abundance of light and bright, patented finishes. Encompassing 4,655 square feet of living space, this dwelling boasts five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. Continue below to see the rest of this dwelling…

The cabin’s most prominent feature is the great room’s fireplace, which is at the heart of the dining and kitchen. The custom black-flamed granite, which masons physically torched on the side of the fireplace, commands the attention of anyone who steps inside the dwelling.
