This coastal-style farmhouse was designed by White Sands Design/Build, located in Manhattan Beach, a city in southwestern Los Angeles County, California. Manhattan Beach is a laid-back South Bay community popular with families and outdoor enthusiasts. This 5,200 square foot home is just down the street from the ocean, elevated to maximize views from the third level.
A raw stone facade and a custom fabricated Dutch door welcome guests. Step inside to find customized millwork, exposed beams, wooden furnishings, rustic-chic lighting, and a soothing palette — all inspired by Scandinavian farmhouses and breezy coastal living. This home’s understated elegance offers comfort and vertical space.
There are five bedrooms and five bathrooms with two half baths, a 4-stop elevator, and a basement theater with tiered seating and 13-foot ceilings. The basement also includes a temperature-controlled glass room-within-a-room for an aesthetic but functional take on wine storage.
What We Love: This coastal style farmhouse provides a warm and welcoming home for family living. A serene color palette inspired by this home’s seaside location offers a calming atmosphere. We are especially loving the spacious outdoor deck that connects from the living room, the ultimate space for enjoying fresh breezes off the ocean and soaking in the magnificent Southern California sunsets.

This house is full of gorgeous materials, including a kitchen backsplash of Calacatta marble, mined from the Apuan mountains of Italy, and countertops of polished porcelain.
The curved antique French limestone fireplace in the living room is a true statement piece.
A third-story porch is separated from the upstairs living area by a glass wall that disappears as desired, and its stone fireplace ensures that this panoramic ocean view can be enjoyed throughout the year.
