Seeing it now, it’s hard to believe that this house on the mountain was an old barn almost in ruins. The owners rehabilitated this structure with the help of architecture studio Aresta. They saved what they could and transformed it into the house of their dreams, a wood and stone refuge with large windows (goodbye small mountain windows), that open to its surroundings in rural Spain.
It is not surprising that, when decorating this converted barn house for Christmas, the homeowners opted for a very natural look. This includes garlands of pine branches, pine cones, and ornaments in the form of a snowflake or acorn. Continue below to see the rest of this remarkable transformation…

What We Love: This charming converted barn house is beautifully decorated for the Christmas season using natural decorations that create an inviting ambiance. We are especially loving the kitchen, with a dining table that is an extension of the island. The perfect spot for family and friends to gather in a casual yet elegant atmosphere to celebrate the holidays with luminous decorations. The table is simple and natural yet so inviting!
