This modern rustic slope-side sanctuary is the work of SANDBOX Studio in collaboration with Heslin Construction, located in the Mountainside at Northstar, in Truckee, California. A beautiful piece of contemporary mountain architecture, this chalet offers ski-in ski-out access to breathtaking slopes. Refined industrial and rustic touches meld together in an elegant display of Tahoe style. Steel infrastructure enabled the architects to design expansive windows, soaking in panoramic views of Martis Valley and the Pacific Crest from this mountainside perch.

This dwelling is brimming with exclusive custom details. This includes: hand-scraped reclaimed wood floors throughout the interiors; a floating staircase with a glass and metal handrail; a landscaped water feature which flows beneath the entry bridge and a passageway of the home; and double-sided fireplaces inlaid within beautiful floor-to-ceiling stone. This is clearly not your typical ski chalet, but a dream house nestled in the slopes!
