This plantation style home was designed by Wade Weissmann Architecture in partnership with custom home builder Castle Homes, located in Nashville, Tennessee. This gorgeous Southern home encompasses 5,556 square feet, with three bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms and a three-car garage. The residence was designed for a property with several challenges: wetland setbacks, three road exposures, and noise from a US Highway.
The design of this home reflects the characteristics of the local architecture, complete with a colonial-inspired center foyer and an expansive front porch. Acting as a buffer from the highway noise, the project team created a service and garage wing. On the rear of the property is a large, outdoor fireplace. Nestled between a double-sided courtyard it is used regularly for entertaining. This residence has served as a showcase home to support the Nashville Symphony—one of the most popular homes to date.
What We Love: This stunning plantation style home offers plenty of charming details from indoors to out. The exterior facade invites visitors into the home, thanks to a large front porch and traditional architectural styling. The use of reclaimed wood in this project adds warmth and character, while designer details adds style and personality. Overall this bright and airy home is loaded with inspiring design ideas… Readers, what do you think, do you find this home inspiring? Let us know why or why not in the Comment below!
