This sensational contemporary mountain home was designed by Poss Architecture + Planning and Interior Design, located in rugged Aspen, Colorado. This distinctive home is nestled into a steep wooded site alongside the Little Nell ski run on Aspen Mountain. A central staircase and circulation core connects seven different levels within the house at half intervals, four of which have ski-in access. The central stairwell is enveloped with a wall of glass, helping to illuminate the home with natural light.
With cascading roof forms floating above a solid sandstone foundation, this contemporary home draws on historic references to provide a site specific and dynamic interpretation of traditional mining architecture.

What We Love: This beautiful contemporary home offers spectacular design throughout that is luxurious yet inviting. Set at the base of Aspen Mountain, this is a ski lovers dream house, being able to easily access the slopes from right outside your home. The heavy use of wood adds warmth, texture and a touch of rusticity to the interior living spaces. Overall a fabulous design from the exterior to the interior… Readers, what do you think, would this be your idea of a dream home?
