The interior design was commissioned by Texas-Based design studio, May Design Group. The interiors reflects a uniquely southwest style of design, with exceptional attention to detail in the floorplan, luxury finishes and highly skilled craftsmanship. The interior living spaces encompass 6,513 square feet of living spaces spread out over two levels. Stunning outdoor living areas takes advantage of the year-round weather to enjoy the dramatic mountain views and sunsets.
A seamless connection between indoors and out allows the homeowners to entertain effortlessly. An expansive infinity edge pool appears to dramatically drop off into the endless desert terrain. Cozy seating areas around outdoor fireplaces adds to the desert ambiance. An integrated bar area provides an additional seating spot for guests to sit, enjoy a beverage and swivel their chairs to watch a game on the television above the fireplace.
Sun loungers offers the home’s inhabitants a relaxing oasis to get dried off by the sun after taking a cool dip in the heavenly swimming pool. The covered porches provides relief from the home desert sun during the arid summer months. Watching Arizona sunsets on the elevated deck is a treat for the eyes in the evenings.
Above: Agate lamps on the console table were custom designed for this space. The flooring throughout the main living spaces consists of reclaimed white oak with a light gray wash.
Above: White marble countertops compliment the darker hue of the island cabinets. Bar stools provides plenty of seating for guests to kick back and relax while the chef is cooking. The pendant lights above the island were custom designed for the space by Hinckley Lighting.
Above: This is a second kitchen the homeowners had designed for them. It is a back kitchen (you can catch a glimpse of it in the image above) that they decided to have built after they discovered the beautiful backsplash tiles. The countertops are a honed granite, while the cabinet color is Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee. The floating open shelving was custom fabricated by a local cabinet maker.
What We Love: This Mediterranean style home is just as beautiful and magnificent on the outside as it is on the inside. The gorgeous grounds with the elevated infinity edge pool, a putting green below and dramatic mountain views are icing on the cake. Inside are spacious interiors with walls that disappear to bring the outside in. Rustic beauty is magnified with wood floors and wood beamed ceilings and elements of stone both inside and out. Overall, this is home is luxury refined and we love it!
