This modern farmhouse style home was interior designed by Blackband Design in collaboration with Graystone Custom Builders, residing in Newport Heights, California. The interiors reflect a beautiful open and airy floor plan with playful design details. This is the perfect home for hosting family get togethers and entertaining large crowds. The home is characterized by modern farmhouse architecture but with an added twist! “From the funky demilune sofa in the living room to the custom reclaimed table in the dining room, this house is anything but traditional,” states Blackband Design. From the outside of the home, a concrete walkway leads you up to the front door. The entry door stands out against the white painted facade, painted in an eye-catching shade of gray.

Once you step inside this beautiful two-story home, you are surrounded by a sense of comfort and relaxation. The majority of the furnishings have been custom designed by Blackband Design. All of the adorable throw pillows that you see throughout the home have also been manufactured in their California showroom.

What We Love: This beautiful modern farmhouse style home showcases a fabulous collection of custom designed pieces at every turn. Everything is so comfortable and cozy, very livable. From the warmth of the wood flooring to the textural area rugs that delineate spaces. The master bedroom is one of our favorite spots, a haven of relaxation to welcome you home after a long day of work. We also love the beachy accents reflected in some of the artwork and decorative pieces.

This stunning kitchen features an expansive center island with gray painted cabinets and a white Carrara marble countertop with gray veining. The pendant lights above the island were sourced from Circa Lighting, called the “Goodman Large Hanging Lamp”. Brown leather bar stools adds a chic aesthetic to this space. The perimeter cabinets are painted white with a contrasting black engineered stone countertop.

A custom designed reclaimed wood dining table is surrounded by slip-covered chairs, creating a casual feel to the space.

The area rug in the living room is wool, which the designers had custom made to fit this rather large space. They purchased wool carpeting and had it bound on the edges.

The custom designed coffee table features a top made out of zinc, in a gray hue.

A cool and relaxing master bedroom creates the perfect retreat, with its soothing color palette and dreamy canopy bed. Light wood flooring is accented with a textural area rug.

The master bedroom is a spa oasis with its Blue Tumbled Limestone flooring, which has been magnificently paired with honed Carrara Marble.

Designer Tip: Some of the designers favorite go-to paint colors that they like to use on their projects are: Dunn Edwards Cool December and Dunn Edwards White (DEW 380).
