Known for their classic style and timeless elegance, interior design studio Tucker & Marks created a beautiful hacienda with Spanish-style elements throughout, located in Carmel Valley, California. This dream estate home references 1920’s Mediterranean influences, which can be seen in the terra-cotta flooring in the main entryway, hand-hewn wood beams on the ceilings, eye-catching plaster walls and beautiful steel doors as you can bare witness to at the point of entry.
Moorish details seen throughout the interiors helps to create a lovely backdrop to the homeowner’s furnishings and collections. There is a striking mix of new and old which infuses character into the home, while historical elements helps to ground the new home while also giving it a sense of place.
The interiors of this home are very comfortable and inviting while at the same time luxurious and elegant with the use of only the finest finishes and materials. Arched entryways and ornately hand-carved wooden doors welcomes you from one space to the next. Patterned area rugs helps to not only delineate spaces, but to add warmth, color and texture. Above: In case you were wondering what the wall color in this beautiful living room is, we have the scoop, it is Benjamin Moore, French Vanilla.
Random width walnut planks that have undergone a process of staining, than given a sealant and then waxed, can be seen throughout most of the main living areas.
The beautiful chandelier hanging over the dining table is a custom designed rock crystal “nugget”, made of hand-wrought iron with a gilt patina, center uplighting and beeswax dangle covers. The chandelier was sourced from here.
