LMK Interiors, completed the remodel of a farmhouse style home with an industrial, contemporary aesthetic, located in Alamo, a suburb just outside of San Francisco, California. The interiors are bright and airy thanks to each room having bi-folding doors by La Cantina, helping to create a seamless connection between indoors and out. Gorgeous European white oak wood flooring can be seen throughout the main living spaces.
The wood was custom stained to achieve a dark brown to gray range. A neutral color palette can be seen in the furnishings and fabrics, creating a calming ambiance that is very inviting. Stylish furnishings, area rugs and lighting have been selected from such design resources as Room and Board, Restoration Hardware, Lee Industries, Serena & Lily (bed linens), Arteriors, Gabby and Hammerton.
The open plan living room, kitchen and dining area features a beautiful paint color by C2 Paint called ‘Alloy’, which really makes the space feel warm and cozy. Another wonderful feature that you will notice in this stunning home is the soaring ceilings in the great room, which is clad in reclaimed, 100-year-old barn wood with exposed joists painted in a crisp white for further emphasis. All the windows feature solar shades to help block the harsh rays of the sun but not the view.
What We Love: Prior to the remodel, this farmhouse style home looked like a typical ranch style home with a galley kitchen. The designer really opened up the interiors and made an overall huge improvement that is very harmonious, from the wall color to the cozy furniture arrangements….
