Armadillo Summer House-Sergey Makhno-00-1 Kindesign

Armadillo Summer House is a project carried out by Architectural Workshop Sergey Makhno, located in the beautiful countryside of Kiev, Ukraine. This 1,076 square foot (100 square meters) home is the perfect modern interpretation of the classic barn, used as a summer holiday escape in the wooded countryside. The small residence has been simply designed with the basic necessities for low maintenance. The interiors have been decorated with clean lines and modern furnishings. Wood flooring infuses warmth and cozy furnishings can easily be re-configured, depending on the functions and activities of the homeowner’s. Sliding glass paneled walls open on three sides of the open plan living area, creating a seamless connection between indoors and out. Soaring ceilings with dramatic light fixtures hanging between the rafters creates an interesting visual aesthetic. The main living space consists of a seating area, dining area and an island kitchen. The private zones are on the other side of the wall from the kitchen, hidden from view and offering complete privacy to the back of the property.

The retreat is amazing and inspiring! Thanks for posting.
Do you mind sharing the type of cladding that was used on the walls and roofs?
Best.
