SJC House is a weekend retreat located on the edge of Lake Chapala in San Juan Cosala, Jalisco, Mexico. The residence was designed by Ricardo Agraz with the main design goal to permit the view of the largest Mexican natural lake from every single one of its premises. The architect designed the main facade of the 5,877 square foot (546 square meters) home to be concealed from the street, connected to the road by a front yard, but the entertaining and relaxation takes place in the backyard where a large terrace with an infinity pool awaits. A double height lobby greets guests into the main entrance to the home. The first floor features the dining and living rooms, with a bar and wine cellar, which directly connects to the kitchen. The living and dining room boasts great bay and mountain views, connecting the indoors as an extension of the outdoors with a terrace. The upstairs hallway enjoys views out to the road and the mountains of San Juan Cosala. There are four luxury hotel style bedrooms designed for family and guests, all with en-suite bath and dressing rooms, the master suite has a private terrace and impeccable views. Via
