MA Studios, together with Bishop Built Construction, has created this certified passive house, entitled “WPV Passive Haus,” in Grand County, Colorado. This home reaches close to zero energy loss thanks to building science through Emu Passive House Construction.
The home’s extremely thick walls, windows, and doors, along with energy-efficiency considerations from foundation to roof, are of the highest standard in green building. The homeowners selected this path of function as well as beautiful form for a mountain retreat that delivers abundant returns in energy savings.

What We Love About This Home
This certified passive home is the perfect balance of cool design and features, warmth in the textures, and happiness in all the fun colors. The open-concept floor plan feels bright and connected, highlighted by an airy kitchen and a cozy wood-burning stove that anchors the living space. We also love the fabulous patio with its convenient pass-through window, which provides the perfect place to unwind and enjoy time with family and friends.
