Casey Howard Interior Design transformed this Mediterranean-style home into a moody modern vibe in the Ruby Hill Country Club, Pleasanton, California. The homeowners liked the original footprint of their home, yet they desired a brighter, more contemporary sensibility that would better meet their lifestyle needs. From the start of this project, the designer felt that the renovation and interior architecture should stay true to the house’s bones.
By scaling back on some of the architectural detail, the refined lines of the structure began to shine. The design direction includes a thorough line of comfortable approachability grounded by the organic quality of European white oak floors and a monochromatic color palette of dark and light neutrals present throughout.
