Ellen Grasso & Sons, together with Shawna Kuykendall Interiors, embarked on a journey through this heartfelt project for a family who had lost their beloved home and possessions in a tragic house fire in Dallas, Texas. The team was tasked with rebuilding their lives from the ground up, dedicating themselves to crafting a new beginning for this resilient family.
With a deeply personal approach, they painstakingly curated every aspect of their new home. From selecting furniture, art pieces, and bedding to choosing lighting fixtures and even the most minor details like hand soaps in the bathroom, the team aimed to create a space that not only reflected their style but also brought comfort and solace during a challenging time.

The project was more than just design; it was about weaving together a story of resilience, hope, and renewal. Witnessing the joy and gratitude on the family’s faces as they stepped into their beautifully curated home afforded a gratifying experience for the design team. They took immense pride in having played a role in helping this family start anew, crafting a space that symbolizes a fresh chapter filled with warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging.
