The embodiment of beachfront living, this home was designed by Jenny Martin Design to encourage relaxation in a seasonal home with a seamless indoor–outdoor lifestyle in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. By prioritizing a palette of rich bronze, textured woods, and finishes with an industrial quality, the designers created a home that was both inviting and warm, yet rugged and unexpected.
Nestled on a high-traffic beach in one of Victoria’s iconic harbours, we were tasked with making the home more private while maintaining unobstructed views to the seascape beyond. Designed for a family with a love of travel, the designer wanted the interior to be an extension of this passion. The interiors layer global influence throughout.

Above: Designed for gathering, a double waterfall island topped with white quartz anchors the heart of the home. On the right, a Parisian La Canche range elevates the culinary experience. The pendant lights suspended over the islands are the Goodman Medium Hanging Lights from Visual Comfort.

Rich bronze tones, textured woods, and subtle industrial finishes create an interior that feels warm yet rugged, refined yet unexpected.

Showcasing a playful mix of patterns, this home fearlessly integrated elements that paid homage to the family’s adventurous spirit.
