This gorgeous home also includes expansive glazing to maximize views of the surrounding nature.
The home’s exterior implies a farmhouse through its use of board/batten siding, double cupolas, and a wrap-around front porch. The exterior color palette is simple and clean, bright white with black cottage-style windows, black standing-seam metal, and charcoal synthetic roofing accent it. The house is surrounded by stonewalls typically found in this part of New England.

“There’s a transparency experienced the moment you walk through the front door and can look straight through the house to the New England woods behind. Even though this is an open concept floor plan, spaces unfold as you pass through the house. The open stairwell, the cupola to the sky, and the 2-plus story windows in the great room all help ensure you feel the outside from the comfort of the inside of your home,” states the creative director of Yankee Barn Homes.
This home is also energy-efficient, with its multiple zone systems allowing for the use of parts or the entire house. The floor plan provides flexibility for all age groups, as it is expandable to accommodate all stages of life. The surrounding outdoor scenery was a factor when selecting the decor in this home with grand window walls. The scenery was the backdrop, almost like wallpaper. The furnishings are a mix of deep blues and purple, beautifully complimenting the greenery, both indoors and out.
