This spectacular contemporary house, designed by M-Gray Architecture, is located in Preston Hollow, a neighborhood in North Dallas, Texas. The front yard of this 6,000-square-foot residence has a unique feature: a vertical steel pipe fence that sets the tone for the rest of the design. The house is beautifully accented with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout.
The focal point of this home is the slightly elevated box-like feature, which is highlighted by a contrasting color and subtly hovers over the landscape. As you approach, the windows let you see directly through the backyard, framing a tree. The dry creek bed guides your gaze to the far end of the landscape, which is kept earthy to complement the natural materials in the architecture. One canโt help but feel one with nature in this serene setting.

What We Love: This contemporary residence is surrounded by beautiful landscaping with its dry creek bed running underneath a glass bridge and flowing to a water feature. We love how the project team focused on connecting the interiors with nature through expansive walls of glazing, along with fabulous patio spaces. This home’s greenhouse is also a unique feature on the property, connected by a covered patio, which can be enjoyed throughout the seasons thanks to infrared heaters in the ceiling and an outdoor fireplace.
