What We Love About This Home
We love how the moody, masculine material palette, such as the blackened hexagonal tile, reeded walnut, and dramatic veined quartzite, is balanced by warm wood floors and soft, textural upholstery throughout. The fireplace as sculpture is a showstopper: a custom loop-form gas insert that trades traditional logs for art, framed by hand-set concrete and geometric tile. Most of all, we love how every room, from the moody green butler’s pantry to the owner’s bedroom suite, opens toward Lake Keowee, making the landscape itself the home’s defining design element.

A Hexagonal Tile Foyer with a Pivoting Glass Door

Above: Step inside this luxurious Lake Keowee home, through a pivoting door that is softened by the warm glow of backlit Duchateau Hexo tiles wrapping the walls and ceiling. Norwood Hill hardwood flooring, installed by Endicotts Flooring, grounds the space and sets the tone for the rest of the home; restrained, textural, and welcoming.

A Living Room Fireplace That Doubles as Sculpture

Above: This showstopping living room features expansive, disappearing doors that open the space fully to the surrounding landscape, while a dramatic fireplace anchors the room. Custom concrete panels by Concrete Canvas, frame Circles & Squares, Anthracite Geo tile. Rather than traditional logs, a custom loop sculpture by artist Cathy Azria Burkeman introduces movement and light, turning the fireplace into a sculptural focal point.

Above: A custom Tracer Loop fixture by Luke Lamp Co was engineered specifically for this kitchen. Flanking the space, fully backlit wine rooms by Cellars South create symmetry and visual interest, each capable of holding approximately 380 bottles.
An Open-Concept Kitchen with Live-Edge Walnut and Quartzite

Above: Warm walnut cabinetry, dramatic stone, and architectural lighting define the kitchen’s modern calm. The cabinetry features reeded walnut doors. The island and backsplash are clad in Crystal Venato quartzite by T&J Granite, adding movement and depth to the space.

A Moody Emerald Green Butler’s Pantry and Coffee Bar

Above: A moody green butler’s pantry features frameless cabinetry that conceals a fully integrated refrigerator, while dramatic countertops bring visual movement to the space. The illuminated floating shelves, originally intended as a pocket door, became a “happy accident,” creating the perfect stage for the homeowners’ La Marzocco coffee station, complete with its own drain and water line. A sculptural pendant light adds the final spark.

A Four-Season Screened Porch with a Wood-Burning Fireplace

Above: This screened-in porch is conceived as a four-season retreat. Featuring retractable screens from Retracta Screen that tuck away when the weather’s right, travertine flooring, concrete hearths, and a wood-burning Isokern fireplace that anchors the room. This outdoor space was designed to be lived in year-round. Concrete, stone, and soft seating come together to create a place that feels just as comfortable on a quiet morning as it does on a long evening with friends.

A Spa-Inspired Owner’s Bathroom with Eagle’s Nest Views

Above: The owner’s bathroom was designed around its setting as much as the details. Heated shower flooring, custom concrete sinks by Concrete Canvas, and thoughtfully integrated lighting elevate daily routines into moments of comfort.
