This gorgeous Georgian Revival-style brick house, located in Marietta, a city northwest of Atlanta, Georgia, was reimagined by Frances Zook Architect. On the exterior facade, the home was given a custom lime wash for fresh appeal. Lime wash is a method that uses a natural limestone mixture to coat and protect the brick, offering a breathable, durable finish.
It allows the bricks to age naturally, developing a rich patina over time. This technique suits the Georgian Revival well, allowing the original masonry character to show through. The front door was also updated, with an inviting pop of color, painted Really Teal SW 6489 by Sherwin-Williams. This color carries through the home’s interior, appearing in the family room chairs, the butler’s pantry cabinetry, and soft furnishings throughout. What We Love About This Home
What we love most about this home renovation project is how effortlessly it balances old-world character with livable, layered interiors. A cohesive color scheme, bringing teal from the front door through to the butler’s pantry bar and the family room accent chairs, gives this home a distinctive personality that feels curated rather than trendy. There are just so many fabulous details from the wine cellar to the pool house to the stone outdoor fireplace, making this home feel like a sanctuary.
