All About Home Design has created this mining inspired house that captures the perfect mix of grace and casual elegance, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. When designing this gorgeous retreat, the designer looked to the past for inspiration, and then stepped forward and took a giant leap of imagination. The result is Mining inspired architecture reinterpreted with a contemporary, streamlined design.
Set to capture the breathtaking surroundings and honor the natural landscape of the area, living in this home feels like “being on vacation” all year round. Cross the bridge to the front door and step inside this 3,382 square foot, four-bedroom and four-bathroom home. You will find rooms that harmoniously flow from one to another, providing generous spaces for family and friends to gather and grow together.
Industrial design details mixes with the colors and lines of Country French to create a feeling of warmth and vibrancy from the main living areas, through the bedrooms and work areas including a prep kitchen and homework room, to the Guest Cottage suite with its own living and kitchen spaces.
Reminiscent of a time when life was simpler and full of joy, this idyllic family home represents “comfort food”: a feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment.

The beautiful interiors feature wood floors with a vintage patina, decades-old beetle-kill ceiling beams and lavish uses of white woodwork and shiplap. The styles of furnishings are updated Country French with touches of industrial chic. Striking and sumptuous fabrics adorn black-framed windows. Furniture, accessories, and art add layers of color with an emphasis on cobalt blue and marigold yellow.
