A popular trend for decorating kitchens is crisp, pristine white dream kitchens showcasing gleaming marble counters and beautiful glistening backsplashes. It is easy to see why white makes a space appear brighter, airier, and more spacious. Other advantages of a white kitchen include enhancing other design elements, wood flooring appearing richer against white, pendant lights standing out as sculptural elements, and stainless steel appliances sparkling. The addition of marble to the mix presents a luxurious touch.
With the advantages comes a few disadvantages to this display of simple elegance. Having a white kitchen in your home requires a lot of upkeep; all that white will not keep clean without some heavy-duty maintenance. Marble is not for everyone due to its softness, easy scratching and staining, porous nature, and acidic foods that can cause surface etching. Marble enthusiasts have learned to love the patina, or live with it, that time brings. If you simply cannot bear the inevitable signs of wear and tear, you may want to contemplate using an alternative, more durable material in your kitchen design scheme, such as quartz.
If you are ready for the challenge or just daydreaming, check out the collection we have gathered for you below; to do a little, we are sure you will love it!
