Tour this warm and cozy house with picturesque views of Lake Champlain

traditional-exterior

Battle Associates Architects has created this eco-friendly house nestled along the shore of picturesque Lake Champlain, Vermont. Set atop a bluff, it offers breathtaking vistas of the majestic Adirondack Mountains. A celebration of timber construction, this modernized version of a Victorian-era stick-style-inspired home features a copper-clad chimney and copper roof.

All the living spaces are anchored by views of the water and circulation around the great room volume. Chestnut wood interiors and walnut floors provided warm and complimentary interior finishes. This sustainable house is ultra-insulated, heated, and cooled by geothermal technology, while solar photovoltaic panels assist in operating the house.
