Eskuche Design Group in collaboration with Hendel Homes has designed this family dream house that overlooks Pleasant Lake in Minnesota. The goal of this project was to create a highly functional home that has an approachable, down-to-earth vibe. Created for a family of five, this dwelling has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms with plenty of space to entertain and host large gatherings.
For the exterior facade, this home seamlessly marries Old-World style with modern functionality. Step inside, and you will find a casually elegant atmosphere, where clean, modern lines blend harmoniously with a beautiful blend of stone and metals. Above: This backyard offers plenty of entertaining areas, maximizing summertime enjoyment. Structural stucco poured walls surround the large swimming pool, while the deck of the pool and upper patio are clad with Percheron Travertine from Orijin Stone.
Above: At the corner of the property is an outcropping limestone retaining wall. Landscaping includes hydrangeas, upright junipers, and other greenery for lush and beautiful outdoor living spaces.
What We Love: This family dream home on Pleasant Lake offers amazing entertaining spaces, both indoors and out. Sumptuous living spaces are designed with kid-friendly materials that are durable yet aesthetically pleasing. Luxurious details can be found throughout this home, creating an aesthetically appealing design that is timeless. Overall, the project team did a fabulous job of custom tailoring this home for family life on the lake.

Above: On the lower level, rift-cut white oak flooring provides contrast with the darker finishes. The bar has a classy aesthetic with its tufted leather front and sleek light fixture sourced from The Urban Electric Company.
Above: An outdoor kitchen features Dekton countertops, a durable material that stands up to the harsh weather of the changing seasons. Additional highlights of this outdoor space include a television, overhead heaters, and a fan, perfect for three-season entertaining.
