Lauren Gilberthorpe Interiors reimagined this rustic barn, nestled within the enchanting landscapes of Chipping Norton, a market town and civil parish in the Cotswold Hills in the West Oxfordshire district of Oxfordshire, England, United Kingdom. Fitts Barn stands as a unique blend of countryside tranquility and refined living.

The designer was tasked with enhancing the five-bedroom, four-bathroom abode’s expansive interiors — this includes an open-plan living area, kitchen, dining area, and warm and welcoming sitting area. The designer aimed to create a seamless blend of bespoke elegance and comfort throughout the space.

The designer’s brief was to source furnishings, antiques, soft furnishings, and interior styling.

What We Love: With careful attention to detail, the designer retained the barn’s charming rustic aesthetic while infusing it with modern sophistication. Natural materials such as wood, brick, and stone were incorporated to accentuate the home’s original character, while contemporary fixtures and furnishings add a touch of luxury. The result is a cozy yet chic space that fits perfectly into its picturesque surroundings.
