This glass-filled modern mountain house in Martis Camp, a luxury community in Tahoe, California, was reimagined with a strong, masculine vibe by Jay Jeffers Studio. The four-bedroom dwelling was originally designed by Truckee-based Kelly & Stone Architects but needed a surface refresh to cater to the lifestyle needs of its inhabitants.
The designer changed out the lighting and enhanced what was already in the home, including accenting the walls with patterned wallpaper in a deep rich color and designing a custom headboard to fit the entire wall in the main bedroom. Continue below to see the rest of this spectacular home tour…

What We Love: This Martis Camp house features a beautiful mix of mountain style and urban sophistication. Surrounded by a majestic forest, this home provides a peaceful escape to connect with nature. We love how the designer refreshed this home to enhance the living spaces and infuse warmth into the modern interiors. The designer uses geometric patterns to bring in the masculine vibe, which carries through the spaces to surprise and delight.

Above: The homeowners call this cool catwalk “the bridge”, connecting the upper-level rooms while keeping the lower level feeling open and airy. On the right, the painting is by artist Tricia Strickfaden. The bench was sourced from the furniture company Four Hands.
