This spectacular mountain modern cabin retreat was conceived by Design Associates Architects, nestled into the hillside in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. For this getaway home, the owner wanted a small log cabin vibe that would be spacious enough to accommodate his sibling’s families. Essentially, he aimed to encapsulate the cozy, summer camp feel while integrating guest rooms, sunlit spaces, and modern finishes.
With some creativity, the design team was able to bring this vision to life. Upon arriving at this home, one would think that this was an authentic log cabin. However, upon closer examination, one can see that the cabin’s exterior “logs” are, in fact, siding designed to mimic the appearance of rounded timbers—minus the burdensome maintenance that typically accompanies them.
