This luxury mountain getaway home was created by the design-build studio Jaffa Group, nestled on a ridge in The Colony at White Pine Canyon in Park City, Utah. From its perch, this dwelling boasts sweeping panoramic views of Park City, Oakley, and Heber, as well as the ski runs of Park City and Deer Valley. The property also has its own funicular (a cable railway system on a steep slope).

The homeowners, both artists with an impeccable sense of style, have teenage boys who share a passion for sports and video games. Given the prominent location, the building’s height on the ridge was restricted to 20 feet. Accordingly, the owner’s directive was to create a residence that capitalized on the magnificent vistas from every significant room, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces, while maintaining an unassuming presence from the street.

This expansive home encompasses six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, an indoor pool, an office, a gym, a theater, and a game room, all thoughtfully designed to offer comfort whether hosting an intimate gathering or a large crowd. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding mountains, a contemporary architectural style was chosen, and the residence was meticulously crafted in sections, cascading down the hillside.

An elegant walkway over a water feature gracefully separates the guest wing from the main house, while the owner’s bedroom suite occupies the entire east wing. Beyond the interior, the exterior spaces were of equal importance, seamlessly integrating hardscape and landscape elements.

While the home’s design follows a linear progression along the ridge, the entrance and foyer intersect the residence at an angle, strategically maximizing the view upon entering through the custom 13-foot steel door.

Every detail, from the selection of materials to the finishes, was meticulously curated to harmonize with the overall architecture. The combination of architectural brilliance, flawless construction, and opulent furnishings truly sets this property apart.
