Get Creative with Color
Mix and match pastels or go for bold, bright hues to liven up your table. Using colorful napkins, plates, or glasses to add pops of color is an easy way to achieve this. Layering different shades of the same color creates a visually interesting look that draws the eye in. For example, layer pale yellow and pale pink plates to create a soft, feminine palette.
Don’t stop at traditional Easter colors like pink, blue, and yellow. Try pairing purple and orange, or blue and green. These combinations will make your table stand out and add some unexpected fun.
If you’re not one for color, opt for a neutral palette with natural textures instead. White plates and linens paired with wooden elements for a rustic, cozy atmosphere.

When setting a Spring tablescape, just remember the following:
- Layer pretty linens using either or all of these… A table cover, a table runner, placemats, and of course, pretty napkins.
- Flowers, either real or faux in coordinating colors to your palette. One big centerpiece of blooms or a collection of little vases with individual blooms always looks pretty too.
- Always add whimsical pieces. This includes lots of cute bunny decor such as bunny egg cups with sparkly eggs. You can put treats in them too. Whimsical pieces always add uniqueness and interest to your design.
- Candles are a wonderful addition to create the perfect ambiance too. Use a pair of tapers or an assorted mix of sizes along the table runner. It’s always best to use unscented candles when dining as the aroma of the delicious cooking needs to take priority.
- And of course, your glassware, dishware, and flatware can be mixed and matched. Just make sure all the colors coordinate well together and they are balanced in the amount used. Feel free to mix vintage with modern. Pattern with pattern.
