This modern timber frame home was designed by M.T.N Design and built by PrecisionCraft Log & Timber Homes, nestled along the Elkhorn River in northeastern Nebraska. Sited on an abandoned YMCA camp near Omaha, this 4,485-square-foot home incorporates the heritage of what came before.
This includes unique features such as the functioning bell tower used to call the children home for dinner and the indoor swing that hangs from a timber frame beam. Whether they are lounging on the deck outside the main bedroom suite, selecting a book from the shelves that line the open catwalk, or gathering around the great room fireplace, this modern design helps the family enjoy their wooded surroundings.
Modern lines and massive windows are signatures of the mountain modern style this home embodies.
What We Love: Surrounded by an idyllic wooden environment, this modern timber frame home promotes relaxation and comfort. Outdoor living spaces were designed to entertain family and friends with a backyard firepit and large overhangs to shelter from the elements. A wonderful swimming pool invites one to take a refreshing dip during the warmer summer months. The interior is equally exquisite, with warm and welcoming spaces that are flooded with natural light.
