This modern lake house with sophisticated styling was designed by PKA Architecture, located on Sunfish Lake, a village in Dakota County, Minnesota. Integrated into a hilly lakeside property, this single-story dwelling features a look-out basement level that provides additional living spaces that are flooded with natural light.
The home’s hillside location, linear design, and expansive window fenestrations take in generous lake views from almost every room in the house without being intrusive to the neighboring houses. A simple, organic materials palette of stone, stucco, and metal panels create a calm, sophisticated environment for living within the vivid natural landscape.
