Marsden Architects is responsible for the design of this 1,800 square foot lakeside barn house located on the beautiful Donner Lake, in Truckee, California. This special home acts as a living memory of a multi-generational family dairy barn. After standing in central Michigan for 150 years, the barn was disassembled, relocated, and re-imagined for its new Donner Lake waterโs edge home.
Its presence can be found throughout the house from the magnificent ceiling beams to the bathroom vanities to the site-built doors. The architect repurposed white pine from the family barn into the design of this dwelling. Continue below to see the rest of this amazing home…
