Brandon Architects along with Patterson Custom Homes has created this dreamy modern beach house with a courtyard located on a quiet cul-de-sac in the Flower Streets of Corona Del Mar, California. The design of this home uses simple geometry to create a high level of contrast between solid and void.
Large sliding doors open both the great room and the primary suite above to the outside, while heavy framing elements and walls conceal much of the private spaces within the home. The use of materials has a similar effect: light wood and stucco elements stand in stark opposition to the dark zinc and aluminum facade.
